I have a friend, she is my age and is 3 grades ahead of where she should be. She is quite she is involved in many impressive programs, and is overall quite talented. She is also very confident and boasts about which schools she will get into. I often times feel myself getting down- I wish I had as much as a bright future. But then I decided to see her goals and accomplishments as inspiration for my own future.

Well, let me tell you this: there are millions of straight A students, its something many people work hard to do, and schools have thousands of admissions from these students. My older sister got excepted to NYU. She was a very student, but what set her from the crowd was other things, she was a very good photographer. Anyone can be a "nerd" (for lack of a better word) but its not as common to be involved in other things. So to "stand out from the crowd" you must get involved in other activities. What do you like? What is something you have always wanted to try? Try it. Get good at what you do.

Also, talk to your counselor- they want to see you do well. Talk to your parents, talk to those friends of yours who you look up to. NOW! There is no better time. Research things online, Mr. Google is your friend Depending on which state you live in, there are things you can do that look great to colleges—again, research.

worry about a girlfriend. You have plenty of time for that. beat your self up for not getting into PSEO, could you aim to get into it next year? If so, try.

And lastly, take a break from the rat race for a moment. Believe it or not, college everything. It very and you want to work hard, but there is always more to life, remind your self to think about someone else for a moment.
